J.F. Colley Goldsmiths was started in 1981 when Jim Colley decided to take the plunge and start his own business. He had been

studying jewellery making techniques in Glasgow from 1974 under the guidance of renowned jeweller William Morrison.

Jim opened his first shop in his home town of Denny and soon employed and trained his eldest son Stephen. In 1986 the business

was moved to Falkirk where it has remained since, at this point Jim's other son Gordon joined the fold. Having started with repairing

customers jewellery from the local community and making a few one off pieces the business has developed into creating

bespoke designs to customers from all over Scotland and beyond, all of which are designed and manufactured in our Falkirk workshop.

The business is still run by Jim and his wife Rae and is truly a family affair employing their two daughters Fiona & Pamela and Rae's

two sisters Margaret and Anne .
